About Me

I graduated from the University of Central Florida with my Bachelor`s Degree in Education and a minor in Exceptional Education. I have a rescue Border Collie named Parker Alexander Levin (PAL) :). My favorite sporting teams are the Miami Heat, Miami Dolphins, the Astros and of course my UCF Knights. I have had years of experience teaching! This is my 7th year teaching at Ben Gamla Charter School. I absolutely LOVE being a teacher. I strive to engage students through hands-on activities, differentiated instruction, and of course with the incredible technology that we have at our school! Teaching is extremely rewarding and it is amazing to see my student`s growth throughout the year.

Spelling Bee :)


2017 Ben Gamla 2nd Grade Spelling Bee
“THERE`S A BUZZ IN THE AIR!”


WHAT IS IT? A spelling bee for all second grade students. Students will be given a list of second grade spelling words. They will practice these words over winter break. When school resumes, each class will have a classroom spelling bee.
WHEN IS IT? The first classroom spelling bee will take place on Tuesday, January 10th. This round will require students to spell beginning and intermediate spelling words. They will also need to know how to use the word in a sentence. The second round will take place on Friday, January 20th. Students who advance to this round will need to spell intermediate and advanced words. Students who make it to the final round will compete in a spelling bee with all of second grade final contestants. This round, hosted by Mrs. Miller, will take place on Friday, January 27 th.
What TO WEAR? On Friday, January 27th, all students are encouraged to “dress to impress” for the final competition. This is a free dress up day for second grade.
